For 3 nights in a row, we had a little "paint and pour" after the boys went to bed. Mom-E found a great deal on some canvases and paint (<$20). Throw in a bottle of wine (~$10), and voila, wall decorations.
Not bad, eh? Can you guess which ones I made?
And then, because Mom-E is, well, Mom-E, she was just getting started.
Over the next week, she stayed up until about 1 am every night and made a set of 2 curtains to match the wall hangings (plus an additional 5 minutes of help by me hanging the wall posts).
I admit to being biased and a bit prideful, but frankly these are awesome (as is Mom-E). And the boys love their "new" room.

That is a seriously cool room! The paintings are very impressive and the curtains are to die for! love, aunt-e
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Coolest bedroom in town I am sure.
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon your blog by accident but wanted to let you know...these curtains and wall hangings are awesome! Any little boy (or girl) would LOVE to have a Daddy like you!
ReplyDeleteApril
Love this! Did you buy the fabric with the logos already made or did you make those too?
ReplyDeleteJulie, Mom-E made the logos herself. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHow did she make the logos
DeleteOk im so have I found this blog I love these well done you guys!
ReplyDeleteWould Mom E sell some curtains????
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome
Yes would you consider selling a set of these curtains? THANKS!
ReplyDeleteYes, I would pay for a set of these curtains as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone, but Mom-E's not in the market right now to make more curtains.
ReplyDeleteHow about a curtain pattern?
ReplyDeleteHere's the link to the pattern that Mom-E used for the curtains.

Thanks,
Busy-Dad-E
I can't find the pattern
ReplyDeleteThe link in my comment above appears to work - that's the pattern for the valence she used. Do you mean a pattern for the super hero logos?
DeleteLove all. In process of doing my little boy's room. How did she get the logos on those curtains?
DeleteI found it!!! Thanks
ReplyDeleteDo you know how much fabric she used to to make each superhero?? Thanl You!!
ReplyDeleteWhen you look at the pattern on the Pate-Meadows website, there is a "calculator" that helps you figure out how much fabric you'll need based on the pattern AND your window size. Mom-E doesn't remember how much she used, but the amount will vary based on window size.
ReplyDeleteI just happened upon this site and LOVE the curtains...My questions is how did Mom-E make the logos????? They look perfect. Please share...
ReplyDeleteI would still be interested in purchasing curtains if Mom-E is in the mood for sewing.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I don't know how Mom-E did the logos but this is how I'm going to do them:
ReplyDeleteDownload a font called Hall of Heroes from here: http://www.dafont.com/hall-of-heroes.font
Then pick the logo you want from the letters. You'll have to use their chart to figure out which letter is which logo. Then enlarge the logo by making your font bigger (maybe size 300? just guessing here as I haven't done it so play around) and print it out to use as a template.
vanillajoy blog has templates for 5 super heroes that you can print off without downloading anything - they'll be awesome for using for these amazing curtains!
